From sugar cookies to gingerbread men, biscotti to snickerdoodles . . . oh boy do we have a cookie for you!
Escape the cold this Sunday to enjoy cookies and treats in front of a crackling fire. The Murie Center of Teton Science Schools will be hosting Mardy’s Cookie Swap, an annual tradition of joining the community together while warming up by the fire in her cabin on the historic Murie Ranch in Grand Teton National Park. Bring your favorite holiday cookies to pass and share with friends, new and old. The fun starts at 2:00 pm and guests are encouraged to bring a dozen of their most delicious cookies to swap with friends and family while enjoying hot chocolate, apple cider, tea and coffee. But don’t just bring cookies—bring your stories and memories to trade with others too. Help continue the holiday cheer by providing a copy of your recipe. Staff will be serving up a fresh batch of Cry Baby Cookies, which were a Mardy specialty. If you’d like to attempt baking your own Cry Babies, see the original recipe below. There’s a lot of winter fun to be had at The Murie Center. As always, feel free to enjoy the wonderful snowshoeing and cross country trails or come build a snowman prior to the cookie swap! The festivities will wind down at 4:00 pm as the sun starts to dip behind the Tetons.
